How do I purchase an Aussie Bee eBook?
| To purchase our eBooks ONLINE, you need a PayPal account. (We also offer an offline alternative of paying by Bank Transfer.) |
To use our online checkout system, simply click on the red 'Add to Cart' button under the product you select.
The first window will open:
-- Click the white 'Continue Shopping' button to return to the Aussie Bee Shop and browse through more eBooks;
OR
-- Click the blue 'Checkout' button to proceed to the second window:
(In some web browsers, you may see a shorter version of the wording shown above.)
If you have an Aussie Bee Discount Coupon, you will be able to claim your discount by clicking the 'Got a discount code?' link in this second window.
To complete your purchase, click the 'Pay' button in the second window. You will be transferred to PayPal Australia:
Login with a PayPal account to make your payment. Your payment will be securely processed by PayPal Australia.
When your payment is complete, you will be emailed a link where you can quickly download your eBook(s). This will be sent to your PayPal login email address.
Our online checkout and eBook deliveries are handled by 'SendOwl', a professional, secure ecommerce service.

How do I download my eBook(s)?
When your payment is completed, you will receive an email from Aussie Bee with the following subject line:
Your Aussie Bee Order [10 digit number]
This email will contain a SendOwl link (see red arrow below) and instructions for downloading your eBook(s).
This email will be sent to the email address that you provided during your purchase. If you paid by PayPal, this will be your PayPal login address. If you do not receive this email, please check your 'Spam' or 'Junkmail' folder.
Click on the SendOwl link in your email and a 'File Download' window will open in your browser. This window will contain a download button and/or a download link for each eBook that you have ordered:
You will be able to download each eBook five times, so that you can store copies on your phone, tablet and computer devices. (If you exceed a download limit and get an error message, simply close the window and return to your Aussie Bee email. Click on the SendOwl link again to reopen the File Download window and continue downloading your other eBooks.)
You will have 72 hours (3 days) to download your eBook(s), after which the download link will expire.
If for any reason you are unable to download your eBook(s), please send us an email at: orders@aussiebee.com and we will help you.
After you download each eBook to your device, you need to open it in an eBook reader, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader or the Apple Books app.

Can I view my eBook(s) on all my devices?
Aussie Bee's eBooks are in PDF format. Virtually any device can open and view PDF files with suitable software.
The best program for viewing your PDF eBooks is the free program, Adobe Acrobat Reader, which you can download from the Adobe website. In Adobe Reader, you will also be able to see the many Bookmarks that we have added to help you find content in your eBook and use the numerous internal links in the text. Adobe Reader is available for iOS, Windows, Mac and Android.
The Apple iBooks app and its successor, the Apple Books app, also display the Aussie Bee eBooks well. You can view the content and the built-in Bookmarks and also use all the internal links in the text. Tips on opening your eBooks with the iBooks and Books apps.
You can also use modern Chrome, Firefox and Edge browsers to read PDF files -- and there are many other free PDF reader programs, which may already be installed on your computer, such as Amazon Kindle, Sumatra PDF for Windows, Preview for Mac, and Google Drive for Android. However, with some of these programs, you may not be able to see the Bookmarks built into your eBook and/or use the internal links within the eBooks.

Can I print my eBook(s)?
Yes, you can print a single copy of each eBook for your personal use. All Aussie Bee eBooks are formatted to print easily on A4 paper with a home printer.
You could also get a copy of your eBook file printed at an Officeworks store or a printing shop. For instance, you could take your PDF file there on a USB flash drive or send it by email.

What payment methods are accepted?
Option (1) BUY ONLINE with PayPal.
To use Aussie Bee's online checkout and download your eBooks instantly, you need to pay using a PayPal account.
PayPal is a fast, secure service used by over seven million Australians to shop online. You can create an account quickly and free of charge. More details.
Option (2) BUY OFFLINE with Bank Transfer.
If you cannot pay by PayPal, we offer the following alternative: if you send us an email, stating your name and the eBooks you wish to order, you can ask to pay instead by Bank Transfer (from your bank account to ours). You will then receive full details and instructions by email within the next 48 hours.
Important notes for Bank Transfer customers:
-- It will take one to three business days to complete your order after you make your Bank Transfer.
-- An additional $10 fee will be added to the total cost of your order, to cover labour and processing costs. (This fee will not apply to customers who only wish to make a donation without purchasing any eBooks.)

Will my payment details be secure?
Yes, if you choose to order online, your payment will be processed by PayPal Australia, a financial service with millions of Australian customers. All your financial information will be securely encrypted by PayPal -- so you can pay online with confidence.
If you choose to order offline by Bank Transfer, this is a very secure and private payment method, protected by ASIC's ePayment Code.

Can I order these eBooks from outside Australia?
Yes, Aussie Bee's eBook prices are in Australian dollars but you can purchase these eBooks from any country where PayPal is used.

Can I still buy printed copies of these publications?
It is less expensive to buy one of these eBooks and print it yourself, than to buy a printed copy and pay the additional delivery costs. If you buy an eBook, you can also study the colour photographs in detail on your computer:
These eBooks are in a PDF format that is easy to print on a home printer. You could also take the eBook file to your local library, Officeworks store or printing shop and get a printed copy done. More details.

Yes, Aussie Bee respects your privacy. We will not use the email address that you provide in our checkout for marketing purposes. We also promise never to sell, rent or give our customers' email addresses or personal details to other parties.

You do not need to pay GST in the Aussie Bee eBook Shop because the Australian Native Bee Research Centre is GST exempt.

The Australian Native Bee Research Centre is privately funded. We contribute to native bee research in Australia, and produce books, articles and videos that promote native bee conservation. We also present Aussie Bee website, which introduces native bees to hundreds of thousands of Australians every year.
